Detroit Salsa Dance lists all clubs and party places to Dance in Detroit Metro area that have any kind of Latin Music Night. We not only list just clubs but we also list socials* (one a month event).Even though we have listed all clubs there are some clubs which we feature and highly recommend. We have marked these places as "Serious Salsa Spots". These Serious Salsa Spots are great places to go and practice your Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, Bachatta etc. You usually find good dancers who can dance On 1, On 2 Rueda De Casino etc. In most places just like any other city the DJ's starts playing Reggaeton after mid night. How ever there are very few clubs which are an exception to the above statement. These clubs are big favorite places for hard core Salseros and Salseras.
In addition to providing information whether the club is a "Serious Salsa Spot" or not we also provide information if the club offers a FREE introductory class. Introductory class is usually 1 - 1.5 hours at the beginning of the club night. A typical intro class covers basic steps bas'e, enchufla, open turns, reverse turns, complete turns and basic partner work. Directions to each club, Dress Code and Age Limit are also listed.

*Socials - Usually once month event in a Non Smoking / Non Alcoholic environment. In these socials there is no age limit. All salseros and salseras at all ages are welcome, the only criterion is passion to dance and mind set to have fun. These are great places for people who doesnt like the loud, dark and crazy environment of night clubs. The only bad part is , these events happen only once a month. |
