1) Beginners Guide to Learning Salsa

 

So you've decided that you want to dance salsa - what a wonderful road of
learning, discovery and expression you have in front of you.

Of course you cannot expect to just step up to the dance floor and magically be able to dance. Becoming a good dancer takes a lot of effort, time and dedication. For most dancers some form of lessons are necessary, and even more importantly a lot of practice. Don't be discouraged - remember every single dancer started out as a beginner. In fact, many of great performers and instructors started with two left feet! The good news is that practicing salsa is enjoyable because it consists mostly of going out to dance at the salsa clubs. So don’t think of practicing as work think of it as fun and remember you get out of it what you put into it, so give it your all.
